marfulee Posted 30 January 2006 Share Posted 30 January 2006 I've got an ancient Anschutz Match 54 and I could use a stock with a half decent hook butt plate and an adjustable cheek piece, ideally with bedding screws too... Anything considered!
tenpointnine Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 How about a Gemini Ultra, less than half price? Walter

tim s Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 Half the original price or half the current
marfulee Posted 31 January 2006 Author Share Posted 31 January 2006 I'd be interested in the gemini, though I might have to hide it from SWMBO... Failing that, the person who gets it can sell me their existing stock
tim s Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 My fingers are itching now! I wonder how much Walter would take? If the price is right I would certainly be interested. If succesful a nice bedded 1813, with a Gemini butt would be up for sale!

Mac Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 Half the original price or half the current  There is no current price for the Ultra - it's been discontinued!
tim s Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 I know, I was hoping that Walter meant half the price for an Ultra not half the price for a new FR703.
tenpointnine Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 As just posted in the for sale section, it is less than half of the price as last shown on the Edinkillie site, which was about £920, therefore I feel £450 is a fair price. Or you could pay £1,221 for a 703. Walter
marfulee Posted 31 January 2006 Author Share Posted 31 January 2006 As much as I'd like to own an ultra stock, I think I'd better not get involved in a bidding war... Though I'd be happy to subsidise the winner's purchase!!!
tim s Posted 31 January 2006 Share Posted 31 January 2006 Well, If I'm successful there would be an 1813 stock up for grabs. The condition is good, I refinished the exterior with oil last year as the original was tatty. The stippling at the grip and fore-end is a little worn though. The walnut came up a golden brown colour and has a pleasant grain. The reciever and first inch of the barrel were bedded with metal/epoxy. This has been partially removed from under the barrel to fit my 1407. You wouldn't think but the xx07 barrel is actually wider at the receiver than the "heavy". It would come with a palm-rest, and a system gemini Ultra free-rifle butt. I'll think of prices IF I get Walter's gemini. Fingers crossed.
