  1. Robert Nibbs has a limited selection of out of production bolts rifle-maker.com
  2. That looks just like a rifle my friend is selling.
  3. email robert@rifle-maker.com and ask for a quote
  4. James, You'd only need a carrier plate and two clamps for the precise.
  5. Whilst I agree that it is on the high side, I think prices have gone up (inexplicably) of late, so its not too far off.

You'd still get the entire set up for around a grand. Lots of other buttplates can be fitted. The spigot to fit a grip is about £100, gives you all the adjustability, then you can make the rest of it yourself. I've done this with both the grips on my Gemini.

For reference: The Short Stoke action is a Robert Nibbs version of the RPA Quadlite, made shorter so that you don't have to have a rotating/lifting cheekpiece. The loading port is shorter, to reduce the length of the action. Dovetail in Anschutz. Much smoother than traditional RPA actions, due to having a better polish and finish on the bolt lugs.
  9. I did offer Unfortunately It won't fit a FWB anymore
  10. Hi all, Looking for some wooden stocks for the club. Prone rifle, not standard rifle, for anschutz round actions. Not too old, not too flashy. 1910/1911 (Tim S can correct me.... not that he needs to be told ) most probably. Also, if anyone has a fairly worn out stock with intact round action bedding I'm after one for a project for the club. Thanks all S
  11. You're more of a nerd than me.
  12. No. The club only has anschutz ones, which all use the same sling fitting
  13. Price Dropped to £20 posted. Or offers. Any offers really. The club won't ever use it.
  14. Whilst it is completely true that firing point surfaces vary, which leads to positional variation, 'fancy adjustment' as you call it isn't exactly the point of having an aluminium stock. The forend profile is a fraction of the depth, which cannot be achieved with wood. Lower centre of gravity, and also allows for a lower position. An adjustable length butt is no different to putting spacers in, or taking a saw to the back end of the rifle, other than the fact it is easier to reverse! Aluminium is easier to look after, but wood isn't exactly difficult to maintain. A fully adjustable wooden stock is also not all that different in price to an aluminium stock, if purchasing new. As long as a stock has solid bedding and you are comfortable with it, it is the best stock in the world. It really doesn't matter if its aluminium or wood. Until you've tried all the options you don't know which is best. Its a frankly pointless argument which will rage on forever.
  15. Why so (a precis will do!)? QL owner, just sayin' For full bore target rifle (up to 1000yrds) I'd choose a barnard, because of the ease of operation. Three lug bolts are easier to open. If the tolerances on any four lug action, swing, churwick, paramount, RPA, aren't great they get can stiffen up over the course of a shoot. Beyond 1000 yards, a more robust action such as the Quadlock Octagonal is beneficial. As Hitchphil says, Quadlite is perfectly good (although for Match Rifle and F-Open I would still go for a Quadlock instead). The lite is purely a name, its not a girls action. It is in fact 90% or so a copy of the Rem700 but with a four lug bolt. BAT is a lovely action, all stainless steel, polished, imagine a Rem700 bolt in a quad lock body. Integral picatinny rail. I'd avoid swing, paramount and musgrave actions as the spares are dwindling. (These my unbiased opinions, based on things I learnt working for System Gemini and RPA )
