There have been one or 2 of the "plastic palace" owners who have "sub-let" for a short period.  I'm not sure if that is permissible under their lease conditions though? Similarly, I don't think that they can be occupied "all year" - there were some mutterings about this maybe changing.

You might also want to join the other main Facebook group - "Bisley Caravans" as there are quite a few of there with 'vans.  Some people occasionally go abroad for a year or so with work & are happy to sub-let.

Bisley Caravans is caravan owners only - yours -  the gate keeper!!

    Hi Mick

just as you discovered the wire rope is not flexible and thus becomes difficult to turn the screw. Hence the need for a Bowden cable where the wire is wound in a different way is flexible and will enable the screw to be turned smoothly.
However the Bowden cable is routinely used for brake cables eg bicycles and comes in 1.0-2.0mm OD but for scope control 3.0-4.0mm is more suited. The search continues.
    Best regards

alos might those work & stop the screw locking up? https://www.wixroyd.com/en/catalog/design-elements/spring-index-plungers-ball-lock-pins/spring-plunger-detent-pins/imperial-inch-plunger/3b200/g+m+c+s+a

  8. Not much chance of that - they had to pay 5 years lease up front to develop the site ~£11k then buy a van under a certain age & pay to site deck it, legal fees for the licence, then for gas water elec.  More chance with the off grid sites. They cost between £1 & 1.5k pa, use ablutions, no running water but many have solar elecy systems.

  9. From an old 1807 & the butt plate is now fitted.

Complete with spacer & bedding bolts £75

There are 2 more stocks but with the solid metal butt plates as shown. Similar price, funds going to a club.

I tried that and they rang me up and said i needed to specify which one 🙂

They are wrong - almost everybody does it as 7.62mm/308Win so they are equivalent as they are. I have 3x FAC's with that on it. They are just being difficult - a few areas used to just do it as 30cal!,  same deal for 0.44"/0.45" pistol - get ur NGO legal person to write to them. If they get away with rubbish like this they will be specifying the bullet weight next!   The more people who agree to stuff like this, the more they take the pi$$ & that is then transferred on to the rest of us too.

  11. For BYSA, Uni & jnr shooting clubs to get a pile of rifles working properly & for fullbore ranges where they are really needed.

If anyone has upgraded to 22mm or drainpipe's or has any old units in one of those many boxes of bits we all accumulate then please pm me & offer, we can buy them & cover PP for a moderate price depending on what they are, age & condition.

Thanks in anticipation of your help.
