  1. Hi John.
Yes. I quite agree - I would like to buy the FWB sights. I have been paid and it clears on Tuesday - is it alright if I send payment on Tuesday or Wednesday? I think you said £5 for postage; so £85 to cover the sights and postage? Perhaps you could confirm.

Yes - I think it represents a veritable bargain for which I am eternally grateful! Steve Parrack (of City Air Weapons) pointed out to me that my anschutz sights are a bit bent, so this is VERY much on my to do list.

Thanks a million - just to check you want a paypal payment - I can otherwise send a cheque tomorrow.

    Kind regards.

    Chris

  2. Hi 10 Dots. Yes - I appreciate that, but there is a risk with ebay that you are buying from anybody - I am hoping (maybe foolishly) that I can guarantee the seller being bona fide by dint if their being on Stirton - i.e. taking advantage of the community, rather than leaving it to pure chance and market forces. This is a trust issue - ebay is not a perfect solution (I cannot rely on Stirton being one, but I feel it likely it gives me better odds).

So, in spite of ebay posts, I'd still be interested in responses from members.

    Thanks.

  3. Hi guys,

I am after some decent sights for my Anschutz - I am not fussy if they are FWB/Anschutz/whoever - they just need to fit the Anschutz, and be good quality; not bent; be able to take the standard fitting iris (Gehman / Centra) and anti glare tubes.

I have a budget of up to c. £100 (or vaguely near that - it could go a touch higher) - I'd like a slightly more modern set-up, but I'm not overly fussy.

They do need to be very adjustable as I shoot outdoors; I also want the clicks to be 1/8th minute clicks minimum - or smaller intervals. Ideally I'd like the clicks to be not overly stiff, but not wobbly!

Anyone got anything? Any thoughts much appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Chris

  4. Hi guys,

I am after a barrel extension. It's for a match 54 in a Supermatch Stock - I think c. 1973. The barrel has a raised (bevelled) foresight block, so it needs to fit round this.

Does anyone have one going begging?

Please let me know - please email chunter177@hotmail.com - I don't check Stirton every day, and my hotmail does not always update responses from Stirton, so direct contact preferred.

Give me a shout, and suggest a price please.

    Thanks.

    Chris

  5. Awesome! Thanks Jim!

How do I pay you? Please drop me a line either via Stirton or email me at chunter177@hotmail.com .

I can pay via paypal if you raise an invoice - do keep in touch and let me know how.

    Many, many thanks.

    Chris

    All

Being reasonable as I am, here is the full story

last year I was left with a whole heap of stuff from a retired shooter, who thought I moved in better circles than him for moving stuff on, some items were substantial and realised their worth straight away and items like this, I held back thinking one day I would ebay them, and the day passes

To be quite honest I will accept your offer, whether it be club or not just to free me of some more stuff, I have enough of my own to get rid of

If your club is agreeable then let me know for definite and we can get postman pat on the job

    Regards Jim

  6. Hi guys and gals,

I need a sling swivel for an old Anschutz supermatch handstop. The connection is NOT the ball connection, NOR the simple hook, NOR is it the modern popper/click in/out version - it looks more like the ball connection, but has a circular plate (diam. c. 8mm; width - 2 to 3 mm) with studs either side. I cannot find one on ebay, and Intershoot, Edinkillie, Bedfored Target Supplies, NSRA shop don't stock!

Please help! If you have a bag of old slings, this might just be attached to the end of one of them!

This is for our club Anschutz - we have one, but need a back up for when members walk off with the only one we've got......!

Please help if you can - sorry no pics - am having fun trying to find an example!

    Thanks.

  7. Hi Martin,

Sorry, I should have specified - I was looking for Right Hand shooting jackets. Also, 46 is not big enough for the "larger gentlemen" I have in mind!

    Thanks.

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I have a size 46 Kurte Thune Club jacket in left handed.

It has also has the British shooting 'tag' which shows it meets equipment control regulations, should you require it to be used for open meets.

I've attached pictures, but can also send you the document with both pictures and particulars, if you would like.

    Regards,

    Martin Oakes

  8. Hi Roy,

Sorry, that's a bit dear. Good luck selling it!

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

I've got a Kurt Thune Club Jacket Size 48 that you may wish to buy and also a Schulz Exactia RV (L) Left handed glove.

They've both had about six months of use from new - sadly I had to give up shooting due to a should injury.

Looking for offers around £125 plus postage and packaging.

    Regards,

    Roy

  9. Hi guys and gals,

I ask again for jackets, and rather than trying to involve my committee I am going to buy them myself - put simply the club needs them.

I need a big jacket - we have some "larger" shooters; I also need a medium size jacket - to suit someone about 5' 10"; with c. 38-40" chest. A small is probably also a good idea if we are going to encourage the younger generation.

I don't want the khaki knackered things - preferably a stiffened canvas/leather jacket. I am buying some elbow rubber from Bedford Target Supplies, so if the elbows are worn this isn't necessarily a problem.

Any offers are appreciated; that said, as it is for the club, I can't afford masses - I don't really need slings; a good glove or two might be of some benefit if it still has some grip.

Either drop me a line back as a thread, or email me directly - chunter177@hotmail.com.

    Thanks all.

    Kind regards,

    Chris Hunter

  10. Hi guys and gals,

I am after an Opticron bipod. If anyone has one kicking around, or somthing they think I might like (does not strictly have to be Opticron - I just know them to be good) please send me details.

I need photos and as much info as possible - I am buying something for the club, so may even buy 2! Please show me what you've got, and how much you want for it. Email me with info - chunter177@hotmail.com .

    Thanks.

    Chris

  11. We have around 25ish rifles for sale as our club is no longer able to run.

I will update this post with exact numbers and models etc, but just wanted to see the interest.

If there is any interest please leave a wee message or something

    Cheers

    Hi Jamie,

Do you have any jackets for sale and any other kit? Would be interested to know. E.g. scopes & bipods + mats.

If yes, email me direct - christopher.hunter@afhgroup.com. I am a member of a club in Redditch WORCS, the SEECO club.

    Thanks.

  12. Wanted BSA Martini international LH and RH I need three in total.

    Please email me at winpart@hotmail.co.uk

    Thank you

    Hi NEC,

We have some martini rifles which I am trying to persuade the committee to get rid of - keep me apprised of progress - I will forward your request on to our committee, and (if I can ever get them to make a decision) I will see what we have for you.

    Kind regards,

  13. Hi guys,

I was shooting in my first 100M competition today, and found out to my cost that the Feinwerkbau sights I have on my Anschutz do not quite wind up that far.

Does anyone have the standard diopter Anschutz sights spare, that they are willing to let go at a reasonable price? Also, are the elevation and windage plates adjustable (so you can set your own zero)?

I have pinched a picture off guntrader.co.uk - thanks to "Paul Squibb of Medway Mowers". This is what I am after, although I do not need the fancy iris set-up - just the sights body and main iris wheel.

    Thanks in advance.

  14. Hi everyone,

I am interested in hunting down 3 more modern shooting jackets than those our club is currently endowed with (which seem to have come out of the ark). I need a small, medium, and a large - let's say a size 38; a size 46; and a size 54. I appreciate some jacket sizes seem to add 10 to what we would normally consider the right size. For clarity therefore the small needs to fit a reasonably skinny chap; the medium would fit someone who probably needs to go bit lighter on the beer; the large is for "the larger gentleman".

    Can anyone help?

I need to propose prices to the club chairman - there would be a budget, perhaps £20 to £50 per jacket. This is aimed at the more philanthropic donor! Images would be useful too, if possible.

    Many thanks.

    Chris
