jonty Posted 14 October 2012 Share Posted 14 October 2012 (edited) Hi, I do hope someone is able to help. A part on a 4760 Anschutz butt/hook has broke and I am seeking a replacement. It is the part the 'Armadillo hook' fits into. This part in turn then slots into the part that the large bolt goes through, fastening it to the bottom of the butt plate. I am sure someone might have some parts in their box which would solve the problem. As it is the hook is unusable. If you have one, or know of someone who has, please send me a P.M. Thank you Jonty Edited 16 October 2012 by jonty
jonty Posted 16 October 2012 Author Share Posted 16 October 2012 To assist with idenifying the part I am wanting, I have attached a photo below. The part I require is the piece in the middle, shown with its broken lugs, in between the buttplate and the hook. I hope someone can help. Thank you Jonty

demonloop Posted 17 October 2012 Share Posted 17 October 2012 I know for sure they are not available as spares from Anschutz, I've asked several times.
tenpointnine Posted 17 October 2012 Share Posted 17 October 2012 (edited) Sounds like a project for Barry Nesom! Barry likes gold dust. (Don't we all?) Walter Edited 17 October 2012 by tenpointnine

BigAl Posted 24 July 2013 Share Posted 24 July 2013 I hate to say this but I have one in exactly the same condition as the one in the attached picture. I actually managed to break one within 6 months of owning the rifle from new. Fortunately back then I was able to get a spare on from the Anschutz. It seems like it is a very delicate design, and they go and make it from a monkey metal casting. The one on the rifle currently "only" has one of the fingers broken off so still does the job, for now. Sorry I cannot be of more help.
