David Levene Posted 1 September 2011 Share Posted 1 September 2011 Anyone got an idea where I can get a .177 (4.5mm) inward gauge, as ISSF rule 6.3.2.8.4 but fitted with a magnifier. I already have an optical and a non-magnifying plug gauge.
RobStubbs Posted 1 September 2011 Share Posted 1 September 2011 I have a .177 magnifying gauge - it's not ISSF compliant I'm sure but I thought it came from the NSRA shop. Ask to rummage through their drawers next time you're there and see if anything suitable lurks within. Rob.
David Levene Posted 1 September 2011 Author Share Posted 1 September 2011 Thanks Rob, I'll have a go next weekend. I'll take a vernier with me though as the difference between the inward scoring gauge and an AR outward scoring gauge is only 1mm
Huey Posted 2 September 2011 Share Posted 2 September 2011 (edited) I have an "Eagle Eye Non-plugging Scoring Gauge" (tube style, with magnifier), does .22 (double ring) and .177 (single ring) if that's the sort of thing you're after. ISSF-compliant, apparently. Edited 2 September 2011 by Huey
David Levene Posted 2 September 2011 Author Share Posted 2 September 2011 Thanks for the input Huey but I already have an optical gauge; I need a magnifying plug.
Huey Posted 2 September 2011 Share Posted 2 September 2011 Thanks for the input Huey but I already have an optical gauge; I need a magnifying plug. Right you are. Not *that* familiar with the rulebook to make the distinction required
PaulN Posted 2 September 2011 Share Posted 2 September 2011 I've bought a couple of things from this chap on Ebay. Is this link any help :- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gehmann-Magnified-E-Z-Scoring-Plug-177-22-32-38-45-/370484902292?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&var=&hash=item950389b18c
David Levene Posted 2 September 2011 Author Share Posted 2 September 2011 Thanks Paul I've sent him a message asking what diameter the .177 gauge is. I thought that Gehmann only made outward gauging magnified gauges but I hope I'm wrong.
David Levene Posted 2 September 2011 Author Share Posted 2 September 2011 Thanks again for the link Paul. Sorted, along with a few other O's & S's
