Squishy Posted 22 March 2011 Share Posted 22 March 2011 Hi Everyone, I'm looking to get a heavy barrel, right-handed FWB 2700 or 2602, in an alu stock. A similar anschutz would also be an option. If anyone has/knows of one for sale please let me know. Thanks S

Squishy Posted 29 June 2011 Author Share Posted 29 June 2011 Still no luck with finding one! Been looking into it, and would now happily broaden my horizons and look at any heavy barrel aluminium stock rifle on their individual merits.
batty Posted 30 June 2011 Share Posted 30 June 2011 Just out of interest, why a heavy barrel... It's apparent your wishing to start 3p... But why are you so set on a heavy barrel????
Squishy Posted 30 June 2011 Author Share Posted 30 June 2011 Batty, I've experimented with both light and heavy feinwerkbaus rifles, and find that the centre of balance on the heavy suits my build more.
batty Posted 30 June 2011 Share Posted 30 June 2011 For prone I presume! Don't forget that if your starting three p, a heavy barrel might not give you the centre of gravity that you need for standing or kneeling Also if you have a light barrel you can always add weights onto it to distribute more weight in the areas you need it, as delia says when cooking "you can add but you cannot take away"
Squishy Posted 4 August 2011 Author Share Posted 4 August 2011 Still looking for one!! Ah well, it's almost smallbore week. Just remember, if you don't win it because you need a new rifle, so sell your old one to me... ;-)
hps1200 Posted 8 August 2011 Share Posted 8 August 2011 There is almost bound to be something to suit your requirement on the personal for sales board in the stats tent during the Bisley meeting. If possible it would be best to check every day as the weekend aggregate shooters might be there for only 1 day. Also the good ones go pretty quickly!!
