The alchemist Posted 3 December 2005 Share Posted 3 December 2005 Does anyone have a 0.22" scoring guage they'd be willing to sell/lend to me. The NSRA no longer have a supplier and I can't find where to get one. Do any of the other ISSF countries have a supply I could buy from?
sjb1604 Posted 3 December 2005 Share Posted 3 December 2005 Gehmann make them in a range of types - including graduated. Or find your friendly model engineer and armed with the pages from NSRA Handbook ask him to make some. We are lucky that we have such a member in the club - he did so after he was suspicious about the guage that we had bought yonks ago from the NSRA. The bought gauage was not concentric so if you were scoring and didn't like the result you could rotate it until it was in! . (it was only out about by 2 thousands of an inch but he's a perfectionist!)
dave_samK11 Posted 3 December 2005 Share Posted 3 December 2005 The NSRA does now have some since I brought one last weekend. Hope this helps David
The alchemist Posted 3 December 2005 Author Share Posted 3 December 2005 Well I'm delighted. I'd given up on the NSRA weeks ago as they didn't seem to be showing any signs of getting a new supply. Thankyou
The alchemist Posted 12 December 2005 Author Share Posted 12 December 2005 I've now purchased an excellent gauge from the helpful people at Surrey Guns. Thankyou for your help.
Guest Simon Posted 18 December 2005 Share Posted 18 December 2005 Or find your friendly model engineer and armed with the pages from NSRA Handbook ask him to make some. Just a word of warning, you could invalidate any official scores by using a non-standard gauge, even if his lathe is spot on.
Pault Posted 18 December 2005 Share Posted 18 December 2005 We know somebody with an excellent collection of .22 and .32 gauges. They receives a superior polish every time match. Over the years, it encourages us to try harder!
David Levene Posted 19 December 2005 Share Posted 19 December 2005 They receives a superior polish every time match. Polish is for whimps. Wet & dry: that's the way to do it.
