Breaking news of explosions in London on the tube and 3 buses. Tube network closed and radio reports at least 20 fatallities so far

I gather they've taken the mobile networks down in the area - I guess in case the explosions were triggered by a mobile. If you need to contact anyone, I'd suggest email or land-line phone. They are all still working.

My mate works in St Georges Hospital and has emailed me saying this:

 

My place on stand-by for the casualties. Just had email from communications

director reckons at the moment there are 650 casualties.

 

Doesnt sound too promising...!

 

and we have just been told by the police to not leave our building until we

are told to!!

I suspect the mobile networks are just flooded and jammed with people trying to use them rather than anything else. Reports suggest the bus explosion may have been a suicide bomber and a group have already claimed responsibility according to the news.

Looks like there's been a series of smaller explosions once again in London. Armed police activity reported in UCH (?) and ongoing activities. Fingers crossed no serious injuries or fatalities this time (currently none have been reported).
