Redeye Posted 2 January Posted 2 January (edited) Duiguid Rear sight no 117. This sight gives full visibility of all flags without obstruction. With addition elements and reticule rubbers to change the size of the iris. Includes original cloth case. A true revelation in sighting if you have not used one before. £200 posted to UK mainland More pictures available on request Edited 2 January by Redeye tom sz 1
tim s Posted 2 January Posted 2 January Is that not one of Jim Duguid's Panoramic rearsights? I'd thought the Kelly rearsight was a shortened tube sight, ie the turrets bear on a spring plunger.
Redeye Posted 2 January Author Posted 2 January I'm pretty sure is a Kelly, as my friend from Romford RC has one. John did a number of sights, including a 50m-100yd turnover foresight and may have done a sight as you describe. From a quick google, this sight is in the Duguid panoramic style, but I do not believe is a Duguid and by Kelly. I am happy to be corrected by those in the know though as it has been many years since I got this sight!
Irontrack Posted 2 January Posted 2 January Hi Redeye Just to confirm it's a Duguid Panoramic Mk 1. The screw in Iris's come in 1, 1.1 & 1.2mm. The iris have dots (centre point marks) to denote the size. 1 dot is 1.1mm, two dots 1.2mm no dots 1mm. The perspex screens that the iris screw into also come in 2 different heights for 50m & 100yds. The coloured perspex half moon "items" slot in behind the clear perspex screen to act as filters. These were sold by Chris Fordham (he who wrote the "Phone to Win" book) when he ran Bedford Target Supplies. They came in a blue quilted bag, in a small plastic box. If I get time I will send you photo's of my Duguid Mk 1 & 2 and of the Kelly sight that I have. So that you can see the differences. Redeye 1
Redeye Posted 2 January Author Posted 2 January Thanks Irontrack, I'll amend the listing accordingly. Everyday is a school day. I knew Chris Fordham back in the day but did not buy it from him.
Ark Fitz Posted 8 January Posted 8 January A fabulous rearsight as long as your eyesight is good, have 001 and keep it as I can’t seem to part with this one did have 003 & 120 but both of these were sold many years ago🤫 Redeye 1
