Mick, they are quite easy to make

5/16 UNF set screw 1 1/2" long, saw the head off and drill a 5mm hole in the end, about 25mm deep if you can manage it

1 Motorcycle speedo cable (I used one for a Honda CBR 900 RR Fireblade because it was heavy duty and cheap)

1 M8 x 40mm star knob

Resin wall anchor glue (left over from fixing my cabinet

Cut the cable to length so that the inner cable extends beyond the housing, the same depth as the hole in your screw at one end and about 10mm at the other

Making tape around the end of the screw to keep the threads clear

Pump some of the resin in either end of the cable housing to lock the cable and housing sleeve together and into the hole in the screw, insert that end, then insert resin into the thread on the star knob and insert the other end.

Clean it all up when the resin has set and job done, maybe a bit of shrink wrap over the end of the screw cable join to tidy it up

Is it this you're after? Found one amongst an ex-member's kit.

Possibly is the one, I've never seen the actual twiddly thing not attached to the stand, so not 100% sure what it looks like.

If it becomes available, I'll happily take it.

Thanks

The one I had is spoken for, sorry. I'll have a rummage and see if there's another, but I don't recall seeing one.

They do seem pretty easy to make though - Colin's method above sounds like it'd to the trick!
