MIke Jenvey Posted 5 June 2022 Share Posted 5 June 2022 Did you get anywhere? There is a TR guy (Simon Shouler) who sells a lightweight stand - quite a few TR shooters have bought one - not cheap though! The lightest one that I am aware of is David Crispin's scope stand. I have one myself and couldn't recommend it enough. Best to just invest in a piece of kit that will last you a lifetime - people rarely sell their stands. I have seen them being assembled and they are very well engineered to be lightweight and failproof. In keeping with its lightweight design, it unfortunately doesn't have a micro-adjustment mechanism... hardly a deal-breaker. The Opticron scope stand is very cheap and ok too. Only really useable for prone and will require a ball head mount to offset the scope lower as they are a bit tall. Freeland and Tucker ones are cast aluminium with steel poles, so are quite heavy.
