I have for sale one System Gemini Aktiv handstop in grey. It has seen very little use  and is in perfect condition.
It comes with additional spacer and the original box. The quality of these items speak for themselves.
New, they are £125, I am looking for £90 which will include shipping.
If you have any questions, please ask.

It's a short bar that slides in the handstop rail. There's a screw hole to lock it in place. Think of the sliding part of most Anschutz handstops or a System Gemini.

Just for your information, I found the company that made the cable for the twiddly thing, it’s a specialized drive cable that will drive in both directions, the problem is they only deal with trade sales, won’t give out samples and have a minimum order amount, I forget what this is but it’s in the hundreds of pounds.
Not to say that we could order and split it up around the country !
Regarding springs, yes I believe Freeland have fitted a spring that would cope with the largest scope likely to be fitted to the stand, therefore once you remove the standard screw and replace the with a drive cable you will need to balance the spring to the scope, if you remove the standard spring measure OD and wire size, the go on eBay and match up a lighter option, this worked for me with a little trial and error, you will need to cut the new spring down possibly with a grinder.

Hope this is helpful and makes sense.

    Best Regards

jonty got a reaction from Buz1440 in GEMINI Ultra stock for sale. Great condition
I have for sale One Gemini Ultra rifle stock. It is machined to take Anschutz round action.
These were an early version for Gemini and have, I believe  maple woodwork  and an alloy chassis. The bedding bolts are present.
The buttplate carrier extends and locks in place using spacers, These are not present, but easily available on eBay in a colour of your choice. The cheekpiece adjusts vertically and laterally.
The condition is very good with only minor marks from limited use. These are very rare, especially in this condition. Look at the phots carefully.
I am looking for £525.00 which for an alloy stock is very reasonable and this will include shipping to the UK.
If you have any questions, please send me a P.M
    Thank You for looking.

    Hi,
Are you sure its 22mm?  The box for the iris shows it to be M18 and the tunnel looks to be an 18mm.

Yup Jonty totally agree re why the flexible adjuster is necessary for right hand shooters. I leave my scope attached to the stand so most of the time it is at the correct height. Outdoors it may require some vertical adjustment depending on the type of ground and I have a standard height to set it to with tape measure which means I am pretty close to correct straight away but as we all know it is those last few mms that are a bu883r and when the adjuster comes into its own. As everyone says there is a demand for a quality one so someone could charge a decent amount if they could produce it.

jonty reacted to iainfm in Martini (PH25B or later) sight wanted
    Hi,
I had a look at the Martini on Tuesday night and I think there's a fair bit missing/wrong with it. I've been offered a complete one in good condition by another club for £100, which would make more sense, and I'd be able to test it first.
Re the missing parts - no one seems to know (other than general 'make one good out of several bad' musings). I did find a box in a cupboard with what looked like /parts/ of one or more PH25Bs, but I didn't ask what events had led to them being taken apart!
So, I think I'll end my quest for PH sights at the moment. Thanks anyway everyone!

Yes, I thought that may be the case. Best use it best you can, or look and admire it and love it,  and consider whether buying a rear site that  probably costs more than what the rifle is worth is good economics.
It may be that one turns up at sometime and it would be nice if someone would lend you one as you asked for, so you could make your mind up.
Could I suggest some detective work with the club committee and members to ask why they have no rear sights? it could be someone has them for safe keeping.

    Ian,
Could I suggest you try shooting with an Anschutz or similar. I know that some people shoot with BSA's to good effect, but they really are last century.
The more modern rifles usually will come with sights, buttplates etc, and you can then add/improve on them if you wish.
Does the club have a modern rifle, or is there someone you know who could let you have use of a modern(ish) bolt action rifle?

If you're looking on eBay. Any Match 54 stock will accept an 1807 receiver, but older (1960s and '70s vintage) stocks were made to fit a smaller trigger. If you aren't handy at woodwork, be sure of what you're buying.
Also think twice before buying a stock without bedding bolts. All Match 54 rifles have the same thread, but not the same length.

This is predominantly a smallbore forum, kit can be legal for one discipline but not the other. As I wrote, might be worth mentioning if the cuff is 40mm+, as it's not NSRA legal.

The Freeland Stand is not a Tucker knock off, it's more convergent evolution (or Tucker knocking-off Freeland). Al(bin) Freeland was in business from the 1930s, a good 30 years before Andrew Tucker. I think he was at least 70, when Tucker started making the X-Ring stand.
