  1. When I saw your ad I felt sure someone would hand them in, and Im glad your are to be re-united. Someone posted on here a while ago that he/she had something stolen from their kit bag at a shoot!!! Beggars belief, but as a guy once said to me, 'Little places have little thieves', how true.

  2. Im looking for a 5071 trigger unit to fit to an old Match 54 action to replace the old unit with the fixed trigger shoe.

These are different from the current 5018 trigger unit which will NOT fit the early Match 54 action.

If you have one, or know someone who has, please contact me by P.M.

    Thanks

  3. Thanks for that Mark,

I had thought someone would have had an old one kicking around. Im reluctant to buy a new one as it would more than double what the actions worth in my opinion.

Maybe some shooter is like the Michael Buble song, 'They just havent read it yet'. well something like that.

I have Tim 'Anschutz' Slater advising me on the project, so Im sure we will solve it.

    Regards

  4. If anyone has any concerns, I can confirm I have bought several items from Alan, and I have ALWAYS found them to be exactly as described and of the greatest condition. I have found he will endeavour to go out of his way to help you when he can.

I am currently shooting with his ex Gemini stock.

    Keep it up Alan.

  5. A new firing pin should still be avilable from Anschutz. I know that Ruag UK have only recently taken over the importation of Anschutz from Frank Dyke, but they should be able to order you one if they do not have one in stock. It is only the 16xx series rifles that Anschutz nolonger make parts for. The older 14xx and later 18/19/20 series match rifles are all fully supported still. From the look of the bolt in the picture it is a 14 series bolt, so you should be OK.

    Hi Al,

I think you may have missed the point. these forums are for people to help people in their sport or interest. The Buy and sell page is an invaluable media for people to obtain hard to find items. Im sure a few people will have the item I require, well I'd like to think so.

It is my understanding that RUAG only deal with the trade! I fail to see the economics in asking one gun dealer to order from another gunn dealer! If all else fails, then this might be the solution.

    Hi Squishy,

Thank you for your helpful informative input, I will have to go to the Hospital now to have my sides sewn up.

    Regards and still looking.

  6. Hi everyone,

I am posting this, because I know everyone, just everyone has one of these lying at the bottom of their kit bag.

I am seeking a firing ping for an old match 54 bolt. I have attached a picture of the offending item. I know its hard to see, but the engagement part on the pin has been ground away for it to fit some strange trigger. I have tried several different triggers, but none will engage as the metal has been removed from the pin.

Can anyone help or give constructive assistance in this matter.

    Thanks

  7. I have quite a bit of MEC gear and always found it great, on the occasions when something has been amiss, when I have contacted MEC they have always sent me a replacement part F.O.C. can't say fairer than that. I would not hesitate in buying their products.

  8. I have a Gemini Anatomic grip which is size 100mm that I would like to trade for a size 95mm Anatomical grip.

The condition is 'As New' .

If you think your grip is just a bit too small, and you have a Large hand, then this is the item for you.

You know what they say about men with big hands............Big Gloves!

Please PM me with your details.

    Thank You

  9. SOLD

I have for sale my MEC1 stock complete with MEC Freeposition Butt/hookplate and its Anschutz 2013 barrel and action.

How many MEC stocks do you ever see come on the market?

Mine is excellent condition and has just been fitted with a new factory cheekpiece. The pistol grip is size Large, I would estimate for a hand of 90mm width. The only mark on it is on the base of the grip where it has been rested. Superb.

These stocks are much sought after for their quality of construction, adjustability, ease of use and great appearance.

It is enhanced by its MEC Freeposition Butt/hookplate which are probably one of the most easily adjustable product on the market. If you prefer, I can fit it with an Anschutz 4765 Butt/hookplate.

The Anschutz 2013 was new in late 2009. It is a 'selected' barrel and action and has fired around 6K rounds.

It comes with the new style trigger, and Anschutz manual.

    Truly a superbly accurate unit.

This is a top of the range setup which will give any shooter that extra bit of edge.

I am looking for £2,200 for the setup, which is a great saving on the new price.

If you have any questions, or wish more pictures, please contact me.

The rifle is in Wakefield, West Yorkshire.and you are more than welcome to try before you buy.

The reason for selling is solely that I have a new set-up, and it is stood in my cabinet waiting for a new owner to love it, and love it you will.

I may take a bolt action target rifle in Part Exchange. Please send me a P.M with details.

    Thank you

    Jonty

  10. Im 6'2" and have it in as far as it can go! Length isn't everything you know! ;)

Ive always said Ive never heard of the man who wants it shortening, but clearly some do.

Could it be Sam, that although 6' 2" you may have arms like Ellie Simmonds.

Incidentally, Im still looking for two rods, as we seem to have been distracted.

    Jonty

Firstly, in case she's watching this thread. apologies to Ellie Simmonds for comparing her to Squishy.

Secondly, there is no truth in the rumour that Yorkshiremen have short arms to prevent them reaching the bottom of their pockets!

I have tried to shoot with the rods as they are and withoit the spacers, but the bolt kept going up my nose and me cheek seemed to rest on the action.
