I wasn't suggesting an adaptor Paul, risky as you suggest. I was suggesting removing the 300 bar valve and replacing it with a 232 bar valve. Dive shops would then only fill it to 232 bar, the same as the new cylinder. It might be an option for someone wanting to buy it.

Out of interest Paul, wouldn't it have been easier to just have the cylinder fitted with a 232 bar valve (I presume that's possible).

Or painted tap washers for your oponents

I can't see any problem there providing that the gun was open and empty (as it would be in most cases when taking the grip). You cannot see that from the picture.

Even in countries where they can be shot there isn't a lot of demand for anything to do with the OSP. As you are probably, aware there is no ISSF competition for it.

Ebay style bidding only works with an honest seller (as in this case) or an impartial auctioneer. You place a maximum bid but get the lot at the lowest amount that wins.

It is only Free Pistol and Air Pistol where you are allowed ported barrels. They are not allowed in the other cartridge events. That is one of the reasons why it is so much easier to get higher scores in the 25m events if you use an LP5 as opposed to the correct cartridge guns.

The one I have has the same size black box but has a 12Vdc adaptor. I have also seen some with 5Vdc. Going like-for-like is very good advice.

I need a power supply as well However since I am an electical dunce, can you give me the part number from Maplin, or an exact description (is what is there enough?). I just want to be sure that I get the right thing before I plug it in. Jim Beware, some use 12Vac, some use 12Vdc and others use 5Vdc. I cannot remember which version had which voltage. You need to check which version you have and also the maximum current output of the existing supply unit. From memory even the early Russian PSUs had the voltage and current on them. Also, certainly for the dc units, it is important that you get a regulated output. I don't think that is an option on the ac units.

I get mine from Maplin when I need them. You can buy online but I much prefer browsing their shops, so many gadgets to buy

It appears to be members of the ShootingMods and ShootingUni groups who have gone AWOL.

If anyone is interested I know of a particularly fine, virtually mint, example fitted with LH grips. It comes in the original carrying case and, from what I could tell, all of the original documentation and sales inserts. I only had a brief look at it but I would doubt if there are any better or more complete examples around. If you are interested then PM me.
