  1. Sold subject to payment 🙂
  2. Hi, This came with a rifle I bought ~12m ago, but I prefer a fixed lens so this one is going spare. It's a Centra variable eagle eye to suit a foresight tunnel with a 22mm thread. It ranges from 0.10dp to 0.75dp. When I did try it I found that the magnification seemed to be higher at 0.3dp than my fixed 0.3dp one, so I don't know if it's just badly calibrated or variable eagle eyes are 'like that'. It seems to be in good condition, with no sign of wear, and I know the previous owner looked after his kit. Asking £50 + P&P Best wishes, Iain
  3. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has this book surplus to requirements, preferably 2nd edition, before I buy new Many thanks, Iain
  4. Hi, After a visit to my optician the other day, I've found out (as expected) my prescription has changed, and the +1.25 lens I have in my Anschutz monoframe (which I'm shooting pretty well with at the moment so a bit loathed to change) should probably be more like +1.75 or maybe even +2.00. Anyway, this got me thinking. Many of us need a new lens every once in a while, which means a lot of lenses become surplus to requirements that would actually be really useful for someone looking for that prescription. On top of that I've inherited a lot of lenses from former (ie deceased) shooters that are no use to me (or them) which might be exectly what someone else needs. A lot of these are of unknown prescription, but I was hoping to either persuade my optician to measure them for me, or maybe even buy a used lensmeter off ebay to find out what power they are. So, a) does anyone have a +1.75 or +2.00 24mm lens they no longer need, and b) is there any interest in a 'lens exchange' system where people can get hold of a lens or range of lenses without the expense of having one made? Thanks in advance, Iain
  5. The one I had is spoken for, sorry. I'll have a rummage and see if there's another, but I don't recall seeing one. They do seem pretty easy to make though - Colin's method above sounds like it'd to the trick!
  6. Sorry, been away with work most of the week. The one I have is currently spoken for, pending checks it's suitable. Best wishes, Iain
  7. Is it this you're after? Found one amongst an ex-member's kit.
  8. Having said all that, they emailed right back so I've ordered one. Thanks all!
  9. Thanks for letting me know. I've emailed them so hopefully they'll get back to me. I have been thinking about alternatives though (while conscious that only nsra ones can be used for nsra competitions, I'm unlikely to be scoring these any time soon). Ideas so far are to knock them up in a cad package and get them machined in China. I've not priced this yet but I'd imaging getting a few would work out pretty cheap. The other thought was that 5mm brass rods and 12-13-14mm discs are easily available. Add one to the other, and turn it down to suit. The ~80° angle of the disc as per the regs would be the trickiest part. But 90 is approximately 80, right? 😁
  10. Thanks for that. The NSRA shop seems to be offline at the moment for anything except targets. I found the gauge dimensions etc in the NSRA rule book, so it wouldn't be beyond the realms of possibility to make some. Annoyingly I was offered, but turned down, a lovely metalworking lathe a few months ago by someone who has since passed away. The number of things since then where a lathe would have solved my problems is unbelievable 😔 I also have a notion to make an electronic gauge, a bit like the TargetScan app, but on a computer. I've still to figure out the best way to build it though.
  11. Hi, I've just discovered the gauge I bought from the NSRA shop a year ago is for 25M not 25Y 😒 so I'm on the hunt for an oversized official/regulation 25Y one please. I'm (probably) going to be taking on some scoring duties, so I'd also be interested in any graduated gauges for tiebreaks etc. Thanks in advance, Iain
  12. Don't know if it's any good to you, but there's an open-source, build-it-yourseld one available: https://free-e-target.com/
  13. There's a Centra duplex iris in this listing. Not sure if it's the same as the thing you're after though...
  14. Could I have the Ways of the Rifle book please? I'll contact dbeerewaldram@outlook.com 😊
  15. If you can't find the real thing, I bought some of these recently. I don't know if it's the right thread for your purposes though, but you might be able to find something similar. sourcing map Round Knurled Thumb Nuts Conector Lock Adjusting nuts, M10 Female Threaded Thin Type, Nickel Plated, Pack of 5 : Amazon.co.uk: DIY & Tools You might have to turn down the outer diameter a bit for it to fit; they're quite large - 28mm, and you might need to drill some holes around the outside as per the original so you can turn it with a tool (allen key or something similar). Next time I have my rifle out I'll see if it's the ones I've got are potentially suitable.
