  1. Hmmm, might be a tight budget, unless a good Swing comes along. Brand new barrel, proofed = circa £800, so say at least £500-£600 for a low use example. Action = new Barnard-P is about £1300-£1400. At least £1000 for second hand? Sights - decent rear sight (Centra), maybe £400. Foresight - 22mm ladder = £130. Say £400 second hand, no irises (£150+?). Stock - £500 -> lots if Gemini! Adding that up = £600 + £1000 + £400 + £500. = £2500? Fairly standard Swing here - only 28" barrel though. How about this Quadlock?
  2. What's your budget? Fultons (always a bit more expensive!) have a nice looking RPA Quadlite, £2495.
  3. Just hover your mouse over my screen name / icon, & you should get a pop-up which will have a message option to click on.
  4. Yep, it is. All yours. Please PM me address, etc, & I'll confirm BACS, postage, etc. Will also send a couple of photos.
  5. Standard Anschutz dovetail - the tunnel is almost flush to the top of the mounting (by about one mm?). Silly me - yep, edited, thanks.
  6. After a clear out at Bisley over the recent Imperial meeting, I have the following items for sale (+ postage costs of course). Piccies via PM - too big on data for direct linking. 1. Anschutz 6226 round adjustable hand stop / sling attachment (silver) - £20. SOLD (£40 new) 2. 32x WIDE (TSE-14WB) eyepiece for 800 series 'scopes - excellent condition, it will fit TSN 821, 822, 823 & 824 models. - £105 (free ESE sling claw 😉 ) Example only 3. Assorted 18mm foresight elements - sequentially ranging from 2.6 to 4.6, but a few (2.8, 3.4, 3.7, 3.8, 3.9 & 4.3 are missing); some of the smaller sizes are duplicated / & or blade elements.. These have been hidden away for yonks in an old St Bruno tobacco tin, so a few may need a clean up before use (most are clean). Metal elements are £4.00 with Intershoot, so £30 for the lot is a bargain! SOLD 4. 22mm Centra tunnel foresight - think it is the "Score" model, black, very good condition - £35. SOLD (£67 new) 5. 0.5 eagle eye (with deep collar) - will not fit Centra sights (short collar needed for Centra) - £7.50. SOLD
  7. Having gracefully changed shape slightly (& invested in a new jacket 😉), my “Desi Smit” jacket (made in SA to my then measurements) is up for grabs. The leather (super quality) is in very good condition (regularly treated with leather cream) with just a few marks commensurate with wear). Elbow pads are as good as new - excellent grip. Would probably suit someone with a 42-44” chest / 36-38” waist depending on what layers you wear under a jacket. Height - about 5 ft 10” (177 of those metric thingies). Rear pocket for all those necessities such as bolt, glove, etc. I’m down at the Imperial from next Thurs. Please PM if interested. Photo files too big - will try & add separately. £110 OVNO
  8. Well, Journeyman hasn't come back to me, so I will PM you an email address for direct comms - I think that current security measures on the forum will stop yopu from sending PMs until a certain post count.
  9. At Bisley this weekend if it helps.
  10. Yep, it is. I have a couple of "expressions of interest" to look at it during the Bisley Imperial Meeting next month, but nothing concrete. I'll PM you an email address for direct comms.
  11. An unchambered / unthreaded barrel is not an FAC item, just a metal tube. I brought one back from the USA a few years ago.
  12. Ta! Would have been interested in Kowa ‘scopes maybe - but Greenkat are good for a beginner / indoors. Regretfully no quick way to get to PMs - it’s a necessary evil to stop scammers trying to sell kit that they don’t have (there have been several unfortunately).
  13. As a "newbie," you won't be able to access PMs until you have added a few more posts (security issue to prevent scammers that have been on here before), so useful please if you could add a full list / guideline prices of the main items. Personally, interested in any 22M foresight items & depending on the type(s), 'scopes / stands. Many thanks!
  14. Good question - double-checked the sale receipt = .750 Rightsight base. Checked with a measure (not a micrometer! 😉) = yes, looks like 3/4" diameter. Previously on a .308 Kreiger TR (Palma profile) barrel.
  15. I have decided to move to 22mm foresight tunnels on all my rifles, makes it much easier to swap irises, diopters, etc, & should give a more constant sightline. So, getting rid of my RightSight (30mm) - it will help fund a different hand grip for my "old" Gemini RPA so that it matches the one on my new rifle - previous one is smaller (available for sale on this forum). Please PM for more details - the RightSight has a 0.5 diopter, integral spirit level, rain / glare tubes & a 4.0 - 6.0 iris (single horizontal bar), spare locking washer / attachment knob & solid rubber washers to keep dust out. With original protective wrapping + foam-layered Tupperware container - free. 😉 £300 ONO. Can provide separate photo's via PM - too large to upload here.
  16. Bought a KOWA-800 series 'scope recently - seller had incorrectly stated it was angled (not feasible to see in the limited photos) - 'scope was returned. In the intervening time, I bought a 32x WIDE (TSE-14WB) eyepiece for the 'scope - which, of course, now surplus to requirements. ☹️ It's up for grabs, excellent condition. It will fit TSN 821, 822, 823 & 824 models. £125 ONO to cover my costs. Best I can do with a photo - too large on my 'phone & other uploads aren't playing. Can send individual photos via PM if needed. https://ibb.co/qkTtVMm
  17. I'm "standardising" hand grips on my 2 Gemini rifles, so have a 90mm hand grip up for grabs - medium to slightly smaller hand size. It is on a metal "dowel" fitting (secured by bolt on rear of right hand side of stock) so gives a degree of height adjustment. Some marks, commensurate with age (about 13 yrs old) with some staining on the bottom. Would probably all sand off / clean up but not my skill set. £120 ono. A new one is £310.97 with postage!!! Please PM for more details / photos (the ones I have via my 'phone are too large to post - Dropbox not playing, & for IBB, so photos will not upload). Hopefully these will give an idea; https://ibb.co/yYrBG7d https://ibb.co/68ZB2kv

    7.62 TR.

For barrel costs, I had a new Krieger 1:13, 32” barrel fitted to one of my rifles in Aug / Sep 2020. Fitting + proof costs were about £900. So, never mind the faff / timescale / zeroing / barrel running in process, a second hand rifle with a near new barrel has to have that sort of value attributed to it. A “modern” action such as RPA / Barnard has to be worth about £1000 - £1200? New Barnard action is about £1400. Add on say £500 for decent front & rear sights with irises. Adding that up, not much change from around £2500 for a newer style second hand rifle? Holts = good call, but don’t forget the 25% premium + VAT. Next auctions in Jun 2021.

    7.62 TR.

Useful to know a little more information. Budget? Preferred type of action if any? Reasonable round count for the barrel or happy to get new one fitted? Barrel twist? Fultons at Bisley have one or 2, such as this Musgrave. Also a Mk3 Swing 1:14 barrel. Not cheap (but Fulton's prices never are!), here is an RPA Quadlite, says as new 1:13 barrel.
  20. I thought that one of my "spare" 22M adjustable foresight irises would be good to go when I went for a quick shoot at Bisley today. Sadly, there was an issue with the iris functionality / cross bars, so I'm trying to find another one - but in the 4.0 - 6.0 range or very similar sizing - the smaller range is no good as I use a 0.5 eagle eye, so the larger range is needed. Don't mind if it is a single horizontal bar, one with a "cross" facility, or a clear ring. I do have a 22M Gehmann iris (2.8 - 4.8), single horizontal bar, that I would be willing to swap.
  21. I have decided to move to 22mm foresight tunnels on all my rifles, makes it much easier to swap irises, diopters, etc, & should give a more constant sightline. So, selling my RightSight (30mm) - it will also help fund a different hand stop for my "old" Gemini RPA so that it matches the one on my new rifle - previous one is smaller (will be for sale at some stage in the future). Offers over £300 please - the RightSight has a 0.5 diopter, integral spirit level, rain / glare tubes & a 4.0 - 6.0 iris (single horizontal bar), spare locking washer / attachment knob & solid rubber washers to keep dust out. With original protective wrapping + foam-layered Tupperware container - free. 😉 (Also advertised elsewhere.)
  22. Super, many thanks. Yes please to both - if you PM me BACs details, I'll sort out a transfer / address.
