  1. Not sure if there are current wind calculators that take into account 155 gr ammunition (or a different calibre)?

Many score sheets have a little pictorial representation of wing flags / strengths / angles. It's much easier to glance down at a little picture than have to fiddle about with a calculator - & of course, in a competition, the clock is ticking when the tgt appears for your shot.

Just before the shoot, it's useful to "shade out" in the diagram the general area for strength / angles.  That gives you a "cooking" range of values - adjust as per fall of shot.

Ask someone to show you how to plot the wind on the separate graph (& most importantly - elevation).  Whilst wind is "history," it can show trends & maximum / minimum strengths. It also gives you a reference to "hmmm, the wind flags look like there were when I fired shot 4" - & set corrected wind accordingly.

  2. I know someone who might be in the market for a "metal stock" .22 rifle to start up indoor (prone) tgt shooting, so all the usual accessories would be handy; type of action not really critical, max budget £2.5K - £3K but would prefer around £2.0K - £2.5K.
