Hi folks, Upgraded to the latest version .. slightly fresher look but things should be generally the same. Had to decide on either the avatar photos or profile pics, so hope you don't mind the image that's now associated with your profile. If you do, then feel free to upload a new photo You should now also have more 'granularity' when using the 'View New Content' option, not only showing you the posts since your last visit but also all unread posts, last 7 days etc. Things like multi-quoting, video embeding and much more are also now available. The story I heard was that the company (individual) in France who manufacturered the GE600 for Unique had financial issues with them and then decided to go an make their own stocks. Towards the end of the company's life they sold (under license??) the bulk of the stock to MEC who branded and then sold the stocks. Not sure why MEC didn't get the stock manufactured after that other than he wanted to release his own version.

Greenwing, don't worry .. it takes a lot to offend the masses here User rating's been around longer and was a general "out of 5" rating you could give a member. However, the reputation was introduced that allowed for other users to 'vote' on a members posts. All the members posts 'reputation votes' are then tallyed up and the overall reputation is what you see under your profile. Not sure user ratings are used so much these days but the facility still exists for legacy reasons.

We've just setup Twitter integration with the forum. In order to link Twitter to your account, log in normally first and then click on this link to take you to your profile settings: http://forum.stirton.com/index.php?app=core&module=usercp&tab=members&area=twitter Here you can link your Twitter account to your forum account making signing in even quicker (if you're already logged into Twitter in the browser), as well as pull through status updates etc Just be careful if using Facebook integration as well, as one update may be overwritten by the other.

Sorry for this morning's outage folks, our datacentre supplier's system thought we hadn't paid .. when infact we had and was due to a problem with the VAT increase. All back up and running now.

We're migrating some of our older web servers to brand new Dell hardware. The new web servers will give our customers a noticeable improvement in performance and will continue to provide them with a dependable hosting platform. This upgrade is to take place on Friday 12th November during the time window 23:00 – 00:00. During this time we will power down the old server and bring up the new one, there will be approximately 15 minutes downtime for http (web pages) and therefore the forum wil be unavailable during this time.
