  1. Left Hand Small Grip for the older cast Alloy Anschutz metal stocks - complete with mount bolt, trigger guard etc as per pic. As New - only used to trial fit. £60 Post ~£5-8, meet Bisley or Pass via network.
  2. why so long - possibly becuse - made for fullbore that adopts a more right shoulder back position vs smallbore thats more right shoulder fwd & up a bit. 308 recoil in that position is harsh I know i did it for awhile when transitioning over! Yep its a bargain & one buyer is looking at it soon but who knows it might not go in one? Got pics of your stock?
  3. no idea if it or not? but there are significant differences between them - this is the dolphin.
  4. update it looks like its the HPS stock..........
  5. 2007 Black RPA Quadlock Hex Right Hand Action with original Madco Barrel with a verified less than 1500 rnds shot thru it = so 3-4k life. In excellent condition, cleaned after every use. Fitted to a Dolphin Stock with a NRA Rule compliant curved buttplate & there is an optional 2nd flat rubber pad butt plate too - £75 Hand stop, bipod, Trakker 1/4 rearsight with irises & RPA 18mm foresight with irises etc. Good Zeros of RG/HL & HPS. There is a optional Anschutz Round action bedding block too so the stock can be used for both FB & SBR by swapping the bedding block assembly(takes 2 mns) - £100 Case, Bolt tool & a few other bits £2900 ono but the seller isnt pushed to sell & silly offers will be ignored. This is a rifle that can take you to a final & last a lifetime. pm / mail to reply & be introduced.
  6. Also sold as DNar & i have seen one with Barr & Stroud (now Thales) on it! Std magnification is x22 but you can buy x30 eyepieces - there is someone on fleabay selling 3-4 of them but for lots. Their main problem is you need some form of a clamp they have no threaded camera mount/lug.....sketches..... bit o ally....40c thread ....I could nock one up for ~£10..
  7. Knob on top moves the vertically fitted thread & that is elevation, not windage. Is it clockwise up? (CW the sight rises) if so any RH thread part will fit & replace the defective part. So a LH unit isn't needed as a donor. If not.......... chances of a LH unit for a reasonable price are 'limited'............. probs best to just get another gun : LH BSA Mk 2-3 £100-£200
  8. When its £15 for that inc pp, vs £15 +£4pp for one of those little generic bipods...... you know someone somewhere is making a killing from them! I recon they cost ~£1 material 15x20mm bar, 5-6mm rod, 1 cheese head screw & 2 poly balls, the production ops are 2 milled slots & a cut, 1 thru hole & 1 tapped hole, 1 cut rod, bent twice & threaded on the ends to fit a poly ball, 1 insertion & a weld. ........... I may have just talked myself into making some! 🙂
  9. Thanks to all we have 6 off. That resurrects 4 Match 64s & another 2 Match54 for Scout use & lets us pass on the Vostock & BSA's to an emerging Scout club for free. Now - anyone got any of those little black bipods? 😉 Cheers to all Phil
  10. U learn somit new every day! 🙂 - I was under the impression that the many old M54's in a thumbhole stock, but a solid butt hook were the precursor 'M54 Thumbhole'- they dont have the words Supermatch on them. My rifle says "1813 Supermatch", cant say i have ever noticed such a rifle called 1813 without Supermatch being added though? But yes there are many flavours & most work well. Kids struggle with the single claw extractors as they often simply turn the case round on the loading tray vs eject & shorter arms struggle to fish them out. I have noted the mk1 bolts tend to not lock as reliably as the newer versions too but that might just be wear.
  11. Indeed many become attached to their rifles, so when time comes to dispose of it, they might over value as its precious to them. Maybe some relate 2nd hand value to original purchase price? even current new price? whereas there is a thing called 'market price' that is a function of how many are out there for sale (lots) & how may are seeking them (fewer & fewer). I rarely pay more than £200 for a Match 54, (mk2 round boltback, 2 claw) maybe £250 for a mint 64, never paid more than £350 for a M54 thumbhole or an 1813 unless its an X. So when helping your mate find a suitable rifle for 'not a serious amount of cash' - you have plenty of scope to find a good one & haggle too. Far from condescending? (where du get that from?) Anschutz rifles are bullet proof, safe, reliable & effective rifles. There are plenty of 1813's out there but beware of a M54's being swapped in to a 2nd hand stocks (becuse people like me upgraded stock) I see that, even an old Mk1 54 with its single claw extractor being passed of as a 'Supermatch' becuse its in a thumbhole stock. The one thing I will slag off is the 1st generation Anschutz cast metal stocks. I have one & had it welded & heat treated (HIPed) to make it work. The metal is very poor quality die casting design; full of gas porosity, casting & brittle cooling flaws & an unsuitable sections for strength. - Avoid - So much for German engineering!? & I can say that as a degree qualified Metallurgist! the Precise or CNC from forged stock are very good, but imho the Nibbs Gemini is just better. (beer later Robert 😉 ) The reason I asked about Uni or BYSA is we can get good rifles into those shooters & clubs for them to use for free / token hire & they can buy them for a keen price after a short period proving they like it, on a donate or sell back agreement. We are regularly offered Anschutz rifles free or for a token price to do that.
  12. For your benefit (& maybe those that think there precious Anschutz are worth a heck of a lot?) - the are literally 100's if not 1000s of them for sale. most values asked for are about 2-3x what I pay for them for club, uni clubs & scouts etc. Its a buyers market.
  13. ...... are they part of the Warwick Uni club or a member of BYSA? if so they can help.
  14. when next there is great & thanks very much thats brill.
  15. Scouts RC have been offered a heap if Anschutz Match 54 rifles & a few 64s too, ideal for smaller kids etc but they dont have sights. If you have any old steel or ally framed Anschutz rear sights, (even bits to fix sights) that will fit & are willing to donate or sell for a token price then please PM me. Some basic foresight tunnels too. Post costs can be covered or transport via network & Bisley. Maybe you upgraded & its in a box, or now do benchrest or just had a spare thats not being used? It can be put to good use generating future shooters. Thanks in advance Phil Scouts Skills Instructor Shooting NRA Club Coach
  16. PM in box was full - got the messenger ones - others if you couldn't send? - try now i emptied it! James thanks for the offer of kit.

This one - there is a risk a post becomes a bidding war but why not? I dont get the rationale for a fixed price unless its to limit posts asking toing & froing? many people come into kit they have no idea on value (deceased effects, club junk, kids forgotten or obsolete stuff). so getting a reasonable view of value then selling to me is a normal things to do. There is no commercial interest, no confidentiality no business being undermined, so why not? E.g a Uni has a Diana Model 10 vgc, original box manual tools etc, they dont use it but they need funds - whats it worth?

This rule inhibits people obtaining realistic values of kit. I dont see whats wrong with asking for guidance or a valuation? The result of not being able to do this might be those adverts that value a 30 year old worn out rifle at 3x its real value & the generally high value people attribute to shooting stuff more based on what they paid for it vs its actual material or functional value. Small-bore is particularly affected by this, e.g. my Anschutz stock might have been worth £1200 new, £500 now? but in reality its a £10 bit of really shitty poor quality aluminium alloy casting. I see knackered old Match 54s advertised at £500 or more when i have never paid more than about £200 & have furnished 3 clubs, scouts & a uni with them. There is a parasite on ebay advertising a Tucker 1" tube for £120! (are you on here? hang your head in shame) .... ps - I have 3 if anyone wants one! Unrealistic values of 2nd hand kit, inhibit youngsters entering the sport with basic kit, learning to enjoy the sport & actually learn to shoot before entering the arms race of expensive gadgets that many believe SBR has become. The sport is in serious decline, many clubs age profiles are 55+ Is this partly why?
  19. Brunel Uni RC have interest from over 250 students in shooting from their freshers fair! after 2 years of no activity thats a fantastic result. Over the last 2-3 years the kit has denuded, lost, broken & they are missing some bits - can anyone help? - cheap or donations or bits to fix or ID where to get them cheap etc : 20 guns socks (a bulk order) - all the rifles had surface rust after 2y in store. Quick detach sling loops (42mm) for those ESE hand stops - 4 off. ESE slings or similar. Gloves - any. Bipods - the simple black ones that lock in the rail, not fold up. Scops stands or bits of them to make ones that work....... 22 cleaning kit - jags, points, brushes & patches. Spare parts for Rhom twinmaster pneumatic air pistols. Older stroke pneumatic air rifles or 177 break back air rifles. (student proof ones). A Walther hand stop sling loop. - famously different from all the rest! Simple adjustable rear sight irises for their competition guns. Odd 22 ammo - leftovers, ends of box/batch, abandoned etc for freshers to shoot off. Can anyone help? if so please message me or contact me I'm on FB, shooting forums etc. There are other Uni clubs & possibly near you - after 2 years of generating no shooters their current club members were 1st years when lockdown prevented them from learning to shoot! they need help to survive & regroup - if you can spare time coaching, helping, supervising, fixing kit then they need it & now especially this year. In the last 4 years we lost - Reading, Glasgow, Coventry & Uni London uni shooting clubs. Others are struggling to reestablish so if you love this sport now is the time to help!
  20. post a picture of the fitting face?
  21. i have a Left Handed Anshutz grip if it can be fitted?
  22. .......... you better not be giving up TR or there will be trouble when you drag your sorry arse in the Surrey next
  23. BSA Mk3 True Left Hand Rifle, with LH vernier sights for sale by Club - £200 + case. (or hard case +£30). Our local range access closed so we are divesting of target rifles to buy gallery rifles that can be used at Bisley. It's the middle rifle of the 3 in the picture. The other two are also for sale but to unis only & are being considered £250 each - complete with sights etc This is a very good gun, shoots well & is in vgc. Can be sent RFD at buyers cost or collected Bisley or poss meet on a business trip? (i am regular to S wales & Lancs), Unis can obtain via RFD network for the price of a pint.
  24. Shame, the Unique was excellent I looked up the bore & it was very good, the true LH Ghemann rearsight was worth 50% the cost of the gun alone.
