  1. Aargh! Thanks for the heads up though Tom, but I was driving home at the time 😕
  2. Darn, I just gave the NSRA cash for one 😅 (an OK price from them though TBF).
  3. Hello My club has recently acquired some nicer rifles than our standard fayre and it would be nice to keep them so, which includes not laying them down. Committee has discussed how best to do this and feel a folding bipod is the best method. Unfortunately we're too late to snag the recent excellent offer from Dave, but hoping there's something else out there at the same price point. We are not considering the fixed bolt-on bipods as they rattle off and eat away at the accessory rail! I would also like to acquire for myself one or two hens teeth long-legged System Gemini bipods, vintage models considered in any colour. I blame extension tubes! (sorted now, thanks to Maestro Designs importing a reasonably cheap, but certainly not as well made, JOPA 125mm-legged version) Thanks for reading, please post your questions or PM your offers, ta. H.

Glen, if that doesn't work out, email Edinkillie for a quote. Nothing to say they don't post overseas on their website...

I certainly only use mine to provide rails over the loading port which is where I position my sight's clamps. I have no doubt it makes naff all difference to stiffness (especially on a 20-series) and I do have to pull out the odd case that spins inside the loading port in preference to being ejected. I suspect the Anschutz variant may provide notionally greater stiffness (though still close to naff all) as it is based on a tube rather than flat plate and the clamps are longer, but there is less flexibility (no pun intended ) of sight placement as is directly attached to the sight itself. Does the Kustermann have a size number? Thx.
  8. The stand looks like it may be squeezed to fold, is that the case?

    Upgrading The Forum

Does the forum need to change, what's the driver here? Personally, I appreciate this forum as it is. I have met and heard opinions from shooters from all over, I have made much use of the buying and selling areas (some closer to home would say not enough selling!) and I have my interest piqued occasionally, particularly when it comes to aspects of legislation or, as Chris says, ISSF rule changes (even though I don't shoot to those rules). To an extent, this forum is quieter due to the calibre of its patrons - what's said is in the main constructive, inciteful and self-policing, a far cry from the many examples you see with a little blue thumbsup; Facebook does not a good forum make. Yes, it's immediate, but the quality of material follows the 80:20 rule from the wrong side. I think a forum allows a more considered response and also an inherent archive - there's many a time I've gone back to a post or two because I know I can. H.

    Tec-Hro Grub Screw

Hence my "probably" Many such adverts have missing key information, like the size of the allen head for example and assume a great deal.

    Tec-Hro Grub Screw

2mm allen head fitting, 5.9mm length, 3.84mm outside (thread) diameter. Probably like these.

I don't recall grubscrews per se on that riser; there are the dovetail clamps then studs for the height setting? I have one, so please clarify and I'll take a look.
  14. Christ knows Chris So now i'm Christ !!??? You are forgiven - its an easy mistake to make, i get it all the time. Bless you my child. And still none the wiser.
  15. Hi Chris It's great that you are interested in my 1907 for sale but I haven't marketed it yet! The one up there ^^ belongs to narrowboat although I will be releasing a 1907 in a mint wooden stock for sale later in the summer. It does state "now sold" against the rifle in the OP though H.
  16. loopete should actually be able to help you out here
  17. That had crossed my mind too.
  18. Seriously? I thought making sure a treasured possession had a suitable new home was sweet. I can appreciate that perspective.
  19. Yeah, I got that. Just putting it out there
