As far as buying shooting kit from this forum this has to be by far the most easyes deal done, and pick up of goods so jammy!!!!!! Deal was done with GaryD and he told me he to was going to Bisley, buy phone call while both there started to arange pick up and ask him for details of Class he said B Class oh same as myself then the jammy bit I ask comp number he said 2012 well sod me I was 2011!!!!! How jammy was that

Keep watching eBay. A 1813 a couple of weeks ago with half a buttplate only fetched £140, but then last week a 1913 stock again with half a buttplate (no hook) fetched over £500, yes £500. You could get a full rifle for that.

Having used and owned a BSA MkII I never used a bi-pod for my rifle I saw to many of them fall over and get the sights bent!!!!!!! Even now I only use the bi-pod on my Gemini stock for cleaning and then only if I do not have my MTM rifle rack. have always laid my rifle down on its side that way it will not fall over.....

To put it into context, it's good to see the whole event if you've never been before. There is one large tent housing the (4 or 5 ?) trade stands plus as mentioned above, second hand stuff in the stats tent. Equally though the NSRA shop over in the LRC has a reasonable amount of stuff to look at and buy plus they have some second hand stuff there.

Having worked with RUAG UK I shall say one thing - good luck!
The Anschutz catalogue only shows 19/20 firing pins and dry firing pins.
I may have a friend who knows a guy who's dogs uncle has a supply of these firing pins.

Loctite is your friend with these slings - particularly for the screws securing the buckle side plates. Having treated mine when initially assembled I have had no issues. Great sling.

I would dispute the claims that the MEC sling is prone to breaking. It is certainly true that the original models were made using a thinner fibre band and these often gave way over time. The new thicker bands are much more resilient and I haven't seen one break yet since they were introduced 2 to 3 years ago. This is despite some very heavy/ regular use by a number of different shooters all with varying degrees of tightness in their position.
It's true that they are fancy and some may even say complicated but don't write it off until you've tried it. You might be pleasantly surprised....
