  1. Boxx are still made - I got one a couple of years ago. They are BS standard and appear well made and quite cheap. Not sure what more you might want from a gun safe to be honest, they are after all just a secure cupboard. Rob.
  2. You could have saved about 90% of the time with some plastic wood (morini grip paste or equivalent) and a dremmel. I'm on my 4th set of grips now and after having 3 of them professionally made in Switzerland last month I know more or less what to do. I also brought a grip back (but sadly not the gun it lives on ) so I can use that as a template. Now all I need to do is find an easier way than sandpaper for removing the grip paste off my hands and arms Rob.

    Lp10 Wanted

I'm after a used Steyr LP10 or if anyone knows any retailers that have a used one in then please PM me. One of our club members wants to get hold of one. Rob.
  4. I suspect one off's will probably not be able to BS approved (?) - but that doesn't matter - as long as they are of the correct standard. I forgot to add they will also probably be more expensive than importing from abroad. Rob.
  5. I'd be suprised if you can't find something new in that price range. Pick up a copy of gun mart and have a look through it. Rob.

    Left Handed Rifle

Can you not just get a left handed stock for a right handed gun ? Excuse my ignorance there may be other technical problems that I don't know of - I'm a pistol shooter . Rob.

    Fwb 601 For Sale

It's OK Chris I understand it now. I misread that what you bid was what you paid if you won. Rob.

    Fwb 601 For Sale

Chris, Not that it matters but it looks like two people won Surely the auction wnner has to be the highest bidder ? Anyway glad you got a few more pennies for the coffers. Rob.

    Fwb 601 For Sale

Chris, £125 I'll up it to then - should be 25% of your ammo costs. Don't think I can stretch to paying for it all though Rob.

    Fwb 601 For Sale

You can always raise the bar up As I said my club might want it or I'll have it - either way it'll give Chris some more beer tokens for Melbourne next year Rob.

    Fwb 601 For Sale

Chris, I'm gonna raise it to a more sensible level - a round 100 pounds - especially since the funds are going towards your CWG preparations. If my club doesn't want it then I'll have it and dispose / donate my old 300. Cheers, Rob. P.S. I assume it's guaranteed to shoot like the test card in my hands ?
  12. Robert, For a gun that is pretty much perfect and still one of the best you can buy new (even it is has been superseded by the LP50) - for half the retail price that is pretty good in my books. Anyway it ain't my gun - I'm still happily using my LP5 . Rob.
  13. Robert, Of course it's a bargain I think he's asking 500 or therabouts. Rob.
  14. One of my shooting friends is selling his LP5. If anyone is interested in finding out more then let me know and I'll pass on the details. It is however cased and comes with the full kit supplied (2 cylinders etc). Rob.
  15. I know a lady pistol shooter who is after an electronic target changer. She is a disabled shooter and has just set up a range at home and that is the final piece of the jigsaw that she is missing. If anyone has one they no longer need then let me know and I'll forward the details to her. Thanks, Rob.

    Air Rifle

Chris, Auction it, I'm sure I know of a local club who could make good use of it. Rob.

    Petrol Prices

I'm gonna a litre of red and a litre of yellow diesel. Shame my cars petrol but I'm sure I can find something to do with it. I only hope the postman doesn't just pour it through my letterbox Rob.
  18. My dive cylinder is now outside ordinary spec but I still got it filled up. I had a discussion in the shop mainly because I didn't have a 'surface use only' sticker on it (I was never asked to before). Anyway they filled it up OK and it now has the sticker on it. I think it now needs retesting in early 2007, for the 5 years. Rob.

    Petrol Prices

I'm not sure I follow any of this except that petrol is way too expensive. I do note it is very similar in France now, but I don't quite understand how the US can have such low petrol prices compared to us. If my maths is correct they must be selling it below cost Rob.
  20. Looks like there's been a series of smaller explosions once again in London. Armed police activity reported in UCH (?) and ongoing activities. Fingers crossed no serious injuries or fatalities this time (currently none have been reported). Rob.
  21. I suspect the mobile networks are just flooded and jammed with people trying to use them rather than anything else. Reports suggest the bus explosion may have been a suicide bomber and a group have already claimed responsibility according to the news. Rob.
  22. Breaking news of explosions in London on the tube and 3 buses. Tube network closed and radio reports at least 20 fatallities so far Rob.

    Top 10 Posters

Looks to me like you're a 'posting guru', but I think 'freak' has a more distinctive ring to it Rob.
  24. Paul, Depending on how soon you want to get rid of these I might know someone interested. He's applied for his FAC and he will be using his gun for vermin control on farmland he has shooting rights to. Our region is normally pretty quick to process but it may be another month or two before he's in a position to take them off your hands - let me know if that's any use to you. Cheers, Rob.

    Junior Air Rifle

My club has a few biathlon trainers (NSRA about 60 pounds). They are good to learn with and very cheap, but if the lad wants to get more serious he'd need a more up market gun. Rob.
