  1. This model stock is no longer in production by Anschutz. The only way to acquire one would be to buy a complete second hand rifle with this stock or find a second hand one where someone has bought another model stock to upgrade/replace this model. They are a good model with plenty of adjustment possibilities but beware that as they are made from cast alloy not a solid machined billet they do not tolerate being dropped. I have had 2 of these for some years & so far no problems anywhere.
  2. Hi tufty, Sorry for the late reply, I have been busy & have not checked into the forum recently. Both packets of the felts were sold last Wednesday.
  3. Hi all, Not exactly a new topic but having just unpacked the instructions for the 2 Anschutz (made by G & E) Hammer Shark sight extensions I had in the list for bits for sale on behalf of a retired club member I read that they are made for the 19 & 20 series Anschutz rifles not the earlier 14, 16 & 18 series rifles which use a different size dovetail for mounting the foresight on the barrel. For the 2 forum members who have asked for photos of 3 of the items on the list I attach them to this post.
  4. These handstops were imported by Bedford Target Shooting Supplies back in the day. Good to know the actual makers name (Jensen). I have 2 brand new of these for sale from amongst the items I listed in the post "Items for sale on behalf of a retired club member". The price is in the list.

  6. The early models of the sight in question used a slightly different but similar set of clamps & screws for mounting the sight on the receiver. The screws, springs & clamps for the later, current models are available from Anschutz or the local importer.
  7. Hi Tim, Thanks for your information. I have checked the description & although it looks a great scope for the purpose it was designed for it's not what I'm looking for. I'll keep looking!
  8. Thanks guys. Fixed power is what I want, partly due to the weight issue. Colin, I have checked on EBay but can't seem to find any fixed power scopes. Do you have a make or more details? Thanks in advance if you can help me find it.
  9. I am looking to buy a receiver mounted fixed power (20x up to 25x) with dot or cross hair reticle telescopic sight suitable for prone shooting from 25 yards up to 100 yards. If it come with mounts then so be it. Preferably second hand but must be in good overall condition & the optics in excellent condition. I might be able to afford a new one but looking on the Internet I don't see many fitting this description for sale in the UK. Most I have seen are 36x which in my opinion is too much for prone shooting. If anyone who has such an item they want to move on or anyone else who has some knowledge or advice I would be glad to hear from them.
  10. Huey, If the thumbhole stock you are interested in is the type that had Bellville washers on the original bedding bolts the bolts had Allen heads as standard. Many people replaced the Bellville washers with solid spacers, particularly if they had the stock/action epoxy bedded. I think the Bellville washers came in with the 1813 model , I'm sure Tim S can confirm that. I had a '74 1413 which was had slotted head bedding bolts, I also had a '79 1611 but I can't remember what type the bedding screws were. Huey, I have a collection of Anschutz bedding bolts of different lengths & types. I live in Beckenham which is maybe not a million miles from you in South West London so maybe we can meet up if required.
  11. Is there anyone out there who can contact Graham Rudd to ask him to get on this forum & answer my request/post of 19th September?!
  12. Hi Graham, Did you get the PM I sent a couple of days ago?
  13. I modified a M grip with Milliput in black to achieve the size & shape I wanted. About 1 hours work in total.

    Gemini Cheek Peice

Some years ago I bought the metal parts of the Gemini cheekpiece from Robert to fit to a stock I was modifying. if you can't get a used one that might be the way to go.
  15. I know of a junior shooter who is looking to buy their 1st Anschutz 13 series at around this price. Is any history available? Are some pictures possible please? If you wish to please PM with these items. Thanks in advance, HPS 1200.
  16. Is this rifle still for sale? I have been made aware of someone who wants a rifle of this description at around £1000. Please pm me if it is/or not available.
  17. I have a Morini CM 162 El, this pistol had a flat trigger rail with a dovetail machined in it to accept the trigger shoe. Anschutz use an (almost) round trigger rail so this MEC 1 trigger shoe would not fit my Morini air pistol. If all Morini air pistols have the same trigger rail then it will not fit your pistol.

    22Mm Foresight

I believe I have a couple of Hi-End around 5.2ish with 1.4 ring thickness but they are at my club not at home. I will look tomorrow & PM you Sunday if I can find them.
  19. Overall the condition of the rifle looks pretty good for a 33 year old rifle. I have seen many younger rifles in a lot worse condition than this one. If as stated the gun was used as a spare one at some time that would indicate that it might not have had much exposure to range conditions, being in & out of storage where small dinks can occur. The current price which includes a Neesom tube & a hard case seems right to me.
  20. Just curious & out of interest what is the cylinder re-sleeve requirement for? Are the cylinders in their original form weak walled or is it to add weight?

    Anschutz 1913

I forgot to add that it was fitted with a HPS buttplate. The price asked was £1700.00. It was reserved by phone for 24 hours on Wednesday followed by the same person securing it with a deposit over the phone on Thursday prior to personal inspection. As I was not at LRC today I do not know if it has been sold after it being looked at. If someone has bought it then looking by it's appearance they would have had difficulty finding a better one.

    Anschutz 1913

If anyone is interested I was at the NSRA yesterday & was shown a used Anschutz 1913 fitted with the cast alloy stock. I was told it comes with the cantable Anschutz rearsight plus a Centra 22mm all adjustable foresight (in blue) & the multi adjustable Anschutz handstop. It is in what is near mint condition & apparantly only had around 1000 rounds through it. Altogether a lovely rifle for someone who wants this specification & is prepared to spend the money. In my experience they don't come in this condition very often.

    Anschutz 1903

Good idea. It will depend where you settle in as to how near you might be to a club which shoots .22 benchrest. Very much a game of chance but in general travelling around is a lot easier than in the populated parts of UK. You soon get used to travelling bigger distances to access what you want. If you are going to be near Melbourne I can give you some details of who to contact when you are ready. If not there then each State has it's own Association & their details should not be hard to find on the Internet. Good luck for the future, I found it a great country to live in once you adapt to their way of life.

    Anschutz 1903

Start with a Customs enquiry at Australia House in London. If you are intending to live there permanently I assume you must be in contact with there immigration section already. Your rifle is classed as a category A or B firearm so should not prove too difficult to import. You will need a permit from the police in whichever State you intend to reside in which is not a problem if you are going there for a shooting event & then leaving the country afterwards. The big difficulty might be that until you are a member of an authorised shooting club you might have to leave the rifle with Customs as they will say that you will not have secure storage available for the rifle until then. If you are going there on a temporary work permit then it won't be worth the effort.

    Anschutz 1903

.22 target benchrest is very popular in Oz, why not arrange to take it with you?
