Hitchphil Posted 22 September 2014 Author Share Posted 22 September 2014 Cuz tripod legs get in the way & are top heavy & the height is only eye level from a folding stool or rucksac stool, a decent tripod is twice the size & often heavier than a bipod & 4 rods to carry up range..... & I can put my foot on a bipod leg in a cross wind on stickledown & still see the target ;-).
