44mag Posted 1 February 2014 Share Posted 1 February 2014 Does anyone have hidden away in their cupboard/kit bag/spares box. 4 of the nuts that where used on an Anschutz supermatch stock to secure the butt-plate to the carrier. In the manual they are part no 89 on the exploded drawing. If you can help please let me know Cheers
Squishy Posted 1 February 2014 Share Posted 1 February 2014 As in the square ones? If so, any idea if the gemini ones fit?
jonty Posted 2 February 2014 Share Posted 2 February 2014 Nuts! The flange on the Gemini ones are 10mm the flange on the Anschutz are 9mm. I have tried a Gemini one on an Anschutz carrier and it fits perfectly well. So the answer is, Yes, they do fit. Jonty
44mag Posted 2 February 2014 Author Share Posted 2 February 2014 Squishy, I'm guessing the Gemini nuts are same M5 thread as the Anschutz ? If so pm me with your details so we can sort summat out.
jonty Posted 2 February 2014 Share Posted 2 February 2014 Whilst re-assembling my buttplate after checking the nuts, I thought, 'Will they want to know the size of the bolts, Nah'. Well Ive just had it in bits again and the bolts on both the Gemini and the Anschutz are M5. Can I put it away now please! Thanks Jonty
The alchemist Posted 2 February 2014 Share Posted 2 February 2014 Jonty, Do you have any equal in your knowledge of nuts? Squishy
jonty Posted 2 February 2014 Share Posted 2 February 2014 (edited) The good book sayeth, 'Man cannot live by bread alone, he needs his nuts'. When someone states, 'His life is hanging by a thread' I would ask, 'M5 or 2BA?' When I was studying engineering at Cambridge, I always knew my learnings would become of use. When I say Cambridge, Cambridge Street, Batley actually, Dewsbury and Batley Technical and Art College, but on a clear day you could see Cleckheaton.
