RobStubbs Posted 17 November 2005 Share Posted 17 November 2005 Auction won by Bulls_Hitter at £176. Winning Bid received by PM 15th November 09:27 for £210 Chris, Not that it matters but it looks like two people won Surely the auction wnner has to be the highest bidder ? Anyway glad you got a few more pennies for the coffers. Rob.
Guest Posted 17 November 2005 Share Posted 17 November 2005 Not quite sure what you mean there Rob. Perhaps I missed someones bid? Bulls_Hitter bid £210 on the 15th November at 09:27. David Levene Posted 17 November 2005 Share Posted 17 November 2005 Bulls_Hitter bid £210 on the 15th November at 09:27. I received other bids up to £175 after this. Bulls_hitter wins at £176. Ebay style bidding only works with an honest seller (as in this case) or an impartial auctioneer. You place a maximum bid but get the lot at the lowest amount that wins. Don't forget that this was an auction run by Chris Hector to benefit funding for him to attend the Commonwelth Games for the 5th (i think) time. It was very well run and 210 is very cheap for a rifle of that standard and quality Well Done Chris and Bulls_hitter
Guest Posted 17 November 2005 Share Posted 17 November 2005 210 is very cheap for a rifle of that standard and quality Thanks for the kind comments Batty. £210 maybe cheap, £176 is what Bulls_Hitter will be paying as that beat everyone else. RobStubbs Posted 17 November 2005 Share Posted 17 November 2005 It's OK Chris I understand it now. I misread that what you bid was what you paid if you won. Rob.
