  5. Rifle Case For Sale

131 cm x 34cm x 11cm Ex police firearms case, extremely well built. Aluminium over wood and with 4 individually padlockable latches. Reinforced corners and riveted all over. The handle is home made. This case was designed to protect contents against almost anything. I am sure you could drive a car over it and it would not break. I haven’t tried! Very suitable for air transport of rifles. Obviously quite heavy but I bought it by post so it can be DHL’d etc to buyer. Looking for £60 ex postage costs. Based in London Rifle not included!

  7. Mec 3 Buttplate

I used this buttplate for two years and then got a Keppeler stock and used the included plate. It's a nice butt plate, the 14 rubber dots grip well and it has good adjustments. You can read all about this buttplate here http://www.edinkillie.co.uk/ecatalog/mec-contact-iii-butt-plate-p-269.html It's in perfect condition, I can't see a mark on it and it comes in a plastic tube! That has to be the icing on the cake! Seems they are £135 new, I'll take £80 The picture is not of my plate but is identical S

  13. .308 / 7.62mm Target Rifle Wanted

The gruniger and elmers in anschutz stocks that fultons often have for around £700 are good value. I have one since last year and while it may not be the prettiest it shoots well. The action is particularly nice and it gets possibles, I did one in the 1st round of the queens this year which made the £3.500 HPS shooter next to me, who dropped 2, rather grumpy! Otherwise fultons tend to start at about £1200 for second hand swings which is more than i can afford S
  14. System Gemini Fr703

Took me almost as long to get to grips with the Keppeler stock on my 1913 action. Once you get over the hump though it's worth it! S

  16. Ruger 10/22

I can't see anyone that interested in buying or that it really concerns you anyway to be brutally honest. I'd BOT out if I were you and leave us to our scintillating debate! S
  17. Ruger 10/22

Huh hmmm, British Gentleman Point taken. Having lived in Wales for a year, I quickly learned to distinguish between the various nationalities living in the British Isles. David, isn't it true that a gentleman equipped with a brace of fine doubles and a good bearer can knock down ten birds faster than a cad equipped with an autoloader? Actually the average gentleman regards a side by side only suitable for bank robberies in the 1970s. When did you last see Prince Philip use a side by side? Semi auto shotguns are only suitable for Bruce Willis. The users like the feel of them and the way it makes them feel, far more than the practical sporting use of them, and often have worrying fantasies. For that reason alone they should be confined to the armoury and never never be allowed to be kept at home. Ever. That's an incident waiting to happen. S
  18. Ruger 10/22

My point is that gallery rifles seem to have all the attributes, except pocket size, that .22 pistols have. I don't make the law, merely observe that if you ban one there seems little reason not to ban the other. Section 1 is "pump-action" and "semi-automatic" shotguns, isn't it? I certainly don't like the idea of those being in kept in private houses so its right that they require a FAC. But in any case a gentleman would never use that sort of shotgun on a game bird unless a complete cad. S
  19. Ruger 10/22

Why not put more info and pictures on here? PM probably precludes some people from showing an interest which they are more likely to do given more information. For example I have a spare slot and have a mind at some time to take up LSR but its probably a bit early but given the right opportunity and the right gun might move earlier. Ruger standard triggers have a reputation for being disappointing has yours been changed or has it been improved by SYSS? What make of scope, magnification etc? Pictures are a great selling point and tell more than a thousand words. For those not into LSR they may have no idea what a Hogue stock is or what might be special about a rimfire magic stainless barrel. Why are you selling? Are you replacing with better or just want to realise cash from something that is not being used? An idea of price would be useful - What did it cost new and what are you asking for? As an aside I fired one of these things recently and I am surprised we are allowed to have them at all. Self loading and will fire as fast as you can pull the trigger, and you can have a pocket full of magazines if you wanted. Smaller than a pistol, of course, but otherwise just as potentially lethal in the wrong hands. Some of the 10/22s look like military bullpup style weapons and have very big magazines. Strange how they have survived really. Clearly the people that decide what and what is not acceptable as a weapon in private hands aren't very consistent. S

yes please are they 22 or 18mm centra spirit levels? S
  21. Rpa Quadlite .308 In Hps Gemini Stock

There's something you don't see very often: a conversion from fullbore to the noble arts of air. I'm glad you have seen the light, my child. Go forth and spread the word. I dunno, I'm not sure how many people I can convert... I started fullbore when I had plenty of free time and money. Then I got married Pellets are about the cheapest ammo as I can get and the propellant is widely available too yes fullbore is like standing on the firing point skimming 50p coins down the range in the rain luckily I cant go every weekend S

There's something you don't see very often: a conversion from fullbore to the noble arts of air. I'm glad you have seen the light, my child. Go forth and spread the word. Well you cant fire a fullbore at a local range, it would knock down the rear wall. s
