  1. He might have been at IWA which finished a couple of days ago. Patience is a virtue.
  2. Have you tried Harry Preston at Steyr UK.
  3. If anyone has one for sale they would need to know whether you want 10m, 25m, 50m or 300m (for ISSF) or a combination unit.

  5. I see from the NSRA Christmas Specials flyer that they are offering a 10% discount on gift vouchers. Anyone thinking of buying anything from the shop? Demand a 10% discount or tell them you want to buy some gift vouchers to use as payment. I haven't read the small print but this should work in theory. (I'm not sure that this is the most appropriate place to post this but couldn't think of anywhere else)
  6. Could I suggest that you should post in the Buy, Sell & Trade section of Target Talk. Most of the posters there are US based whereas most here are UK based. If you manage to find a used LP5 then you might find the transaction easier within the US. By the way, good choice on the LP5 (or the newer LP50). Good luck
  7. That's not how it works for me. I get new posts whether or not they are in new threads. I use the following lik to get them:- http://forum.stirton.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=new_posts&search_filter_app[forums]=1
  8. It works perfectly for me on all of the (5) machines I use. They all run IE7 on XP Pro SP3.
  9. If you're talking about the "View New Posts" button then that has been replaced by "View New Content" (just under the search button). I wouldn't be so rude as to answer the second part of your question. If you're talking about the incorrect error message then I'm not getting it with the new version, only "Sorry, no new content found."

It's that time of the year again folks.

    Site Speed

It seems pig slow today Neil.
  12. Thats what you call intriguing. I presume you're going to export it (just me being nosey). Actually, no. I have one on section 7(3) but I'm having difficulty finding one. Do you know of one in strorage? I'm afraid not. It would be interesting though to find how you could justify a modern free pistol under either 7(3)a or b. It would be a great trick if you can do it.

  14. There is something so utterly pleasurable about doing that with an Izzy allright There you are with your cheap-ass hunk of farm equipment which falls apart every twenty shots, and you kick the bottom of someone with two grand's worth of super-fancy teutonic precompressed loveliness. Best feeling ever. Brings a whole new meaning to the term "tack driver", especially if you hold it by the barrel
  15. My computer changed time automatically, but I still had to turn daylight saving off in the board settings to correct the time on this board. Every other forum I use changed time automatically.
  16. Just a reminder, BST ended this morning. My Controls / Board Settings / turn off daylight saving.
  17. Thanks for the tip. Wouldn't want to do that
  18. It takes a lot to offend me. 20kb isn't going to do it.
  19. Is it possible, at a member-by-member level, to just turn off displaying animated avatars while leaving the static ones visible. Animated ones are so annoying.
  20. Thanks folks. Why do these things always happen at the wrong time. Now all I've got to do is figure out what cahanges I made to try and see the avatars, and reverse them
  21. Ok, I' sure this has been asked before but i'm damned if I can remember the solution. I've got new computeritus. I cannot see any obvious difference between the setup on my new and old machines but, whereas members' avatars displayed perfectly on the old machine, the new one just shows the little cross. XP Pro SP3, IE 7, McAfee VS Plus, Windows firewall (on or off). Exactly the same set up on the two machines, but obviously something is different. Any ideas anyone.

    Donations

Neil probably won't ask, but I just noticed that it is over a year since I last made a donation to help with the costs of the forum. I believe that others donated at about the same time last year. Nuff said?
  23. Well done Neil, and welcome Sarah B.
