For pistol, the SCATT is superb and the Palma Rifle Team used SCATT very successfully in their previous campaign. Without giving away the punch line of the article, electronic trainers are superb and well worth the investment, as previous articles have noted, their interpretation and analysis in collaboration with the shooter is essential.

The cut leaves the “default position” of the garment on-aim, i.e. with the arms raised. Most coats are not cut in this way and in fact most track suits so are uncomfortable to shoot in.

Several shooters (at least five plus some more possible) have recently purchased Peli for pistol mainly model 1520. Slightly off your topic but may lend weight to your negotiations and help us. We need some decent cut inserts for the pistols (similar to that used for the 50m pistols in the Condor cases). We can provide specs and if successful, I can drop in with the sample guns for measurement. Price would have to be sensible though, most are still recoiling from the Intershoot costs.

Yes, it is possible; however, if others are using it, I did not want to take the risk! Whilst cylinders can be filled to 232 bar, I was not always the one taking it to be filled and cylinder and adapter in the hands of minors would be irresponsible at best! The cost of the 300 to 232 bar adapters is also quite high. Objective is to sell it for what I paid for it.

For Sale a 300 bar 7Ltr diving cylinder fitted with a surface valve and small pressure gauge. Immaculate condition and still on 1st charge. £100. Collect Bisley. I purchased it via this forum in July 2005 for local pony club. Coincidentally, the shooters all moved to 200 bar pistols in a matter of weeks. Cylinder not used since. Cylinder was 6 months old at time of purchase. I do not know test status, but have presumed one will be needed at some point and have therefore factored this into the price. All correct decals are on cylinder for sale as I have just purchased a 200 bar new cylinder.

.22 short is used by vermin hunters in single shot mode in .22LR and semi mode if chambered for .22 short. This is very premium ammo for this purpose but I don’t care, I just need to shift it.

I have a serious amount of .22 short ranging from training green box RWS (1000+), RWS R25 (1000), Lapua various and Fiocchi various. I need to shift this urgently and no sensible offer from a FAC holder or dealer with authority to purchase will be refused. Some is my own, the remainder is from others who used to shoot .22 short rapid fire. Proceeds from all sales will go directly to the British Pistol Club. The ported barrel on the 25m guns was for recoil reduction and recovery for multi-shot events so that the second and subsequent shot sight picture could be acquired quicker leaving by reducing or eliminating sight displacement. The old Olympic Rapid Fire obviously benefited greatly from the option of .22 short ammunition as well as a ported barrel. For air and free pistol, the recoil recovery or recoil minimisation assists technique and follows through; it is neither assistance to nor following testing a hindrance upon accuracy I was reminded that larger long range full-bore rifles “compensators” are mainly muzzle flash suppressants so that the position of a shooter is not given away They also reduce the felt recoil to the shooter – but I don’t think these guys go for a full 60 shot match plus sighting shots. The is a penalty as shooters either side of the shooter equipped with this kit gets a hefty blast of air and some of the shock wave. The bullets in this type of gun leave the barrel supersonic and hit the target before passing through the sound barrier.

Charging a fee is fine with me. If you want to maintain the free route, as this is a mainly "closed forum", it could be fully closed with web page place holder for new applicants to apply and logon to access forum. That would restrict interactive hacks/brute force but obviously not address IP launched issues. From lock–down stance, IPB and VBulletin have both been reasonable in field. One school of thought is “do nothing”. Two of my commercial clients accept the potential risks of using slightly outdated (i.e. already paid for) software and simply backup the on-line content via snap-shots and then restore in the event of an issue either hardware/software or malicious. Yes, Cuttsie at Diverse Trading gives a very good deal on the Haering unitls, he has manual and electronic. The electronic are top notch and you can place your SCATT unit infornt of these and run both SCATT and the electronic target in parallel

They do take about a week to come in but Dykes wait for a shipment to make transport costs minimal. After Bisley week, Dykes should be needing a re-stock quite soon so direct or via NSRA, you may get them for the British

I used Frank Dykes directly. They directed me to the NSRA but NSRA shop was in transition with “staff changes” making reliability a risk for prompt delivery. Don’t think you will get any issues now. Make sure you get a shoe tree for any make you go for to keep soles flat. You can down-load the 7mb AHG PDF catalogue from the Anschutz web site – pm your email address if you want it sending over. You order the shoes in euro sizes BTW. If you get any grizzles at NSRA, talk to Gary directly. Make sure you get pistol, even Dykes needed reminding! Slightly off topic, I have been very impressed with the Mouche jacket for pistol. For just over the cost of a decent fleece, you get something that is cut for pistol on aim position by default; these rifle shooters have hogged the decent performance clothing for too long!
