  1. Rear Sight For Anschutz Match 54

We're sorted with sights now, so not looking any more. Jim
  2. Feinwerkbau Rear Sight

Aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I'm tearing out what little hair I have remaining ! ! ! ! ! ! I was at the club last night, and our treasurer and I were discussing your sight. I was showing him your pictures, and how it fitted a Match 54. One of our members came over an said, "What's that, guys?" "It's a rear sight for Eddie's (the guy who donated it) rifle. It needs a rear sight to get it into use for the club" "Oh, I've got a spare Anschutz back sight that came off my old rifle!" Aaaaaarrrrrggggghhhhh ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Now he tells us! We had discussed this rifle on quite a few occasions, but obviously the penny didn't drop! Rachel, all I can do is sincerely apologise for wasting you time and effort, and hope you get it sold. Regards Jim (scraping egg of face)
  3. Feinwerkbau Rear Sight

Thanks for the replies folks. Our treasurer wasn't at the club on Monday night, but hopefully he'll be back on Thursday this week. I'll keep you posted. Jim
  4. Feinwerkbau Rear Sight

So in order to get variable apertures, we would need "something" else. Is that correct? The next obvious question is; what do we need? Bearing in mind that this is a club rifle for general use, perhaps we need a different rear sight altogether. Thoughts? Jim
  5. Feinwerkbau Rear Sight

Sorry I never got back to you on Friday Rachel. Our treasurer has had a family bereavement so I never got it sorted out. Hopefully I'll see him tomorrow night. Just a wee question. Is the eyepiece variable peepholes, or is it a variable aperture? I'm not familiar with it at all. Thanks Jim.
  6. Feinwerkbau Rear Sight

Thanks for the information, Rachel. I'll be at the club tomorrow night, so I'll ask if I can spend some of the club's money! I'll let you know on Friday. Regards Jim
  7. Feinwerkbau Rear Sight

Rachel, Do you happen to know if this sight will fit an Anschutz Match 54? Our club was donated one last year by someone who was giving up shooting. Unfortunately it came withought a rear sight. If it does fit, then we could be interested. Regards Jim
  8. Rear Sight For Anschutz Match 54

I see Chunter177 is now sorted with sights. I'm still looking, so if anyone has, or knows of anyone who has, a rear sight for an Anschutz Match 54 that is for sale, please get it touch. Thanks Jim
  9. Rear Sight For Anschutz Match 54

Our club has been donated an Anschutz match 54 for club use. Unfortunately, it came without a rear sight, so if anyone has something lying around unused, we'd be most grateful to buy it at modest cost. It doesen't have to be in pristine condition, just useable for a club rifle. I've seen the other post looking for the similar item, BTW Jim
  10. Ruger 10/22

Jimmy, I've been on the lookout for a L/H target rifle for a guy who joined our club last year, and like you say, the seem to be like hen's teeth! If you do hear of anything, please let me know! Thanks Jim
  11. Old Anschutz Match 54 For Sale

That sounds just what we're looking for. It's actually for a young lad who has just joined the club this year and unfortunately we don't have any left-hand guns in the club, so he's been using a real old BSA 1215 which is not ideal. How much would you be wanting for it? Where about are you, and any chance you could post some pictures? Jim Jim if you can e-mail me please urkers@aol.com I will send you photos etc, tried adding them here but no joy. David, Sent you an email. Did you receive it?? Jim

kn 44mag, Would your club have a left-hand rifle that you want to dispose of? We are looking for one - BSA Martini International Mk1, Mk2, Mk3 or similar. Jim Hi Jim sorry but we dont have one available. in a club of around 25 members 8 of them are left handed !! The best place to find them is the scotarms auction. plenty of quality target firearms pass through here at prices that are more inline with reality rather than what a shooter 'thinks' they are worth eg. a club member just bought a late model 1813 supermatch lefthanded for less than £250 and yes its was mint and it shoots! i picked up a left handed international Mk111 for less than £100. plenty of decent fullbore firearms pass through there too along with the usuall militaria. regards sean Thanks for that info Sean. I'll give them a try and see what comes up. Left-handed target rifles seem to be like hen's teeth, certainly here abouts. Regards Jim

  15. This is my second request for a left-handed .22 rifle. The rifle that the Bogeyman had is not quite what I'm looking for, so if anyone has one for sale, or knows of one, please let me know. Jim
